Gentlemen: -

Adverting to previous correspondence respecting

the acquirenent of certain land south of the Shaukiwan

Road for the construction of a reservoir and the right to

abstract water from the streams flowing through such site,

I have the honour to inform you that His Excellency the

Governor is prepared to put up to public auction the site

applied for with the right to abstract water from the streams

now flowing through it for private use, but not for sale,

subject to an upset price of $50,000.00 and an annual Crown

rent of $1,000.00.
